What the work looks like in Falkirk

Falkirk's older industrial-era housing was built quickly and solidly, and the kitchens have usually been altered more than once since. That means the first job is honest: strip out and find out. Old plumbing spurs, redundant vents and questionable previous work all tend to surface at that point, and it's cheaper to deal with them then than after the units are in.

Once the room is clear, the fit is proper joinery — packing and scribing to walls that aren't square, plinths cut to a floor with a fall, and a run set out so the eye reads it level. Worktops are templated on site and sealed at every joint, and the plumbing is tied in as part of the same job so nothing has to be revisited.

The newer developments are a cleaner fit but frequently need the layout improved rather than just replaced — better corner access, appliances in sensible places, and the sink moved if the room deserves it.
